Ivrea decidió continuar con el manga justo donde lo dejo EDT y reeditar todos los tomos que ya se habían publicado hasta el momento. A un ritmo de uno al mes hasta llegar al número 18. En el momento de escribir la reseña, está a punto de salir a la venta el sexto tomo.

En lo referente a la historia tiene un importante pero, y es que tarda en arrancar y como ya comentaba tanto salto de tiempo y protagonista puede llegar a cansar y perder a más de uno. Eso sí cuando consigue engancharte lo hace sin remedio.

Y ya para finalizar, Ivrea nos está ofreciendo una buena reedición. Con una excelente calidad de papel e impresión, como siempre nos tiene acostumbrados la editora catalana. Una obra muy recomendable y posiblemente la obra maestra de Matsukazu Katsura.

DVD talk: Zetman: Complete Series : DVD Talk Review of the DVD Video

The manga had already produced 17 volumes by the time the anime went into production, so when I heard that this series was only getting 13 episodes, I knew they were gonna have to rush through it and could potentially be a disaster.

In the end, Zetman definitely surpassed my expectations, I honestly expected a half told story with an inconclusive ending that wasn’t really done well. By the time episode 13’s credits role, the exact opposite happened, we ended up getting a thrill ride with breakneck pacing that never let go from the get go. Some things were glossed over for the sake of time constraints and some characters were underdeveloped, but by the end I was fully satisfied with this series.

FandomPost Zetman Complete Collection Blu Ray anime review

Zetman is a show I went into really wanting to like because of the people involved and especially the original creator. It’s a show that definitely plays to an older 90’s kind of feeling with its nature, designs and the kind of characters involved, both the human and the transformed ones. The problem is that while it takes this older kind of mentality, it doesn’t blend it well to present day style or storytelling and it’s condensing a lot of material into a small set. With some sixteen volumes in print of the manga at the time of its production, there’s only so far it can go and it shows.
