This book set is a greatly invested set, and I really enjoyed the artworks from it(new to old). Katsura is one of my favorite manga artists and I just couldn’t skip the opportunity to buy this even for its large price tag of 7500yen(I paid less but it still hurt my wallet and it was worth it).
Warmly recommended for fans and art lovers alike.

Zetman Episode #01 Anime Review

Anotar que en USA no se está publicando Zetman, y que la persona que escribe la nota parece que no ha leído el manga.

With Zetman, it’s made clear right from the start that we’re definitely getting the dark and violent, but the violent that has no problem taking place in broad daylight.

The opening episode to Zetman is fairly confusing in a way with what it wants to be because it throws several different things at the viewer but doesn’t give us a clear path for it.

Zetman (TV) Ep. 01

Este anime está basado en un manga del año 2002, publicado por Masakazu Katsura (“IS”). Este historia promete más acción. No puedo quejarme de la animación, ha estado impecable. Esperen a ver en qué resultará el próximo encuentro entre Jin y Kouga.

Zetman

When it comes to this anime, not only is the subject matter on the dark side, but many of the scenes tend to look dark; this is due to the fact that many scenes take place at night. Some of the scenes in the first episode looked so dark, that I couldn’t actually see what was going on; I had to figure out what was happening from the audio.

Even though the visuals were rather violent and a little on the gory side, the story was written in such a way that I cared about the character of Jin. As a viewer, it was heartbreaking when you realized that before Gorou’s death, Jin had no idea that the concept of death even existed. The empathy that I had for Jin was heightened through Romi Park’s portrayal of the character.

“M” di Masakazu Katsura – Recensione [it]

Viene da chiedersi però quanto possa essere apprezzata da lettori ignari dei reali contenuti della storia, magari tratti in inganno dal genere dichiaratamente indicato per un pubblico maturo; tipico del genere ecchi, sottogenere dell’hentai, è infatti una storia piena di pruderie, di ragazze svestite o in abbigliamento discinto, ma di atti sessuali mai esplicitati e men che meno portati a termine, ma qui il tutto è declinato su un terreno sado-masochistico che non è certo apprezzabile (o addirittura sopportabile) da tutti.

Ottima la confezione del volume per carta, colori, stampa e traduzioni/adattamenti, perfettamente in linea il prezzo con la veste prestige del volume.

M (EMU) ~ Masakazu Katsura

En conclusión, es un manga un poco oculto del autor, pero os aseguro que vale la pena leerlo, la historia no deja de ser un poco, como decirlo, abstracta en ciertos puntos del manga, ya que creo que ni la traducción es cien por cien fiable, y el significado de “M” no es la simple letra, sino que tiene algún tipo de significado en Japón que aquí no logramos descifrar, eso quizás quite significado un poco a la historia, el dibujo es magistral como siempre, aunque aviso, este manga es eróticamente bastante explicito.

Recordermos que es en esta revista donde se serializa el manga de Tiger & Bunny (que aunque utiliza su diseño de personajes, no está dibujada por Masakazu Katsura) y que ya entonces en el número 5 de octubre de 2011.

Esta es la tercera ocasión en la corta historia de la revista, ya que la portada del número 1 en enero de 2011 también fue dibujado por Katsura.
